[MR] Queen's Arms

Here here, Sir Janos. Let the reigning queen deside what she wants to wear.
Things to think about-The people that started the pun were being smart asses when they thought they were being clever, It in advertently turned into something bigger then the pun, a mindless bully that hid behind propriety in the name of Queen's Honor. It has gathered momentum, and followers ridding on high emotions of rightous anger. This beast of the Id now is splitting parts of our kingdom over something that is rather trivial.
Think about it, the Queen's device is the Queen's. If she does not like it, she does not have to wear it. She is the one directly put upon if someone wants to make the pun to her face. Heaven help that individual if I or any other who takes their oath to the Kingdom seriously.
The old device is the Traditional one. Did the US Marine Corps change their device when naughty Navy Sailors started calling it a Ball and Chicken? Think not. They stuck with their traditional Globe, Anchor, and Eagle. Would Ohio State change their symbol, the Buckeye (Whatever the hell that is.) simply because they are not The University of Michigan. (well maybe) Tradition holds a lot more value to me, and throughout history to others, then political correctness in my opinion.
I wish we could get this much heated debate on other issues. Like the alleged zero growth that the SCA in the USA is supposivly exsperiancing, have we topped out? Or the fact that Atlantia is sorely behind in developing Boffer fighting. I have watched these youngsters in other Kingdoms at Pennsic and Gulf Wars, we are way behind the curve.
What say we show our support for our new Queen by policing ourselves and brow beating anyone that says the pun? Or would that be too responsible and adult like? (Whoops did I say that outloud?)

My Lord, I am sure you misspeak yourself! Do you truly mean to offer this
challenge to Princess Isabell, soon to be your Queen? I have spoken with
her personally and it is Her wish to return the device to its original
design. Did you think this petition would of come out with her full
support? Will you prove this a folly upon Her Person? I think not.
I too have tried to stay out of this but felt compelled by this latest
attack to say something. I think it would be best to end the debate by
changing the device eventually to something else, but if my Queen ask me to
support her in this I will do so. It is Her Honor I protect, and if she
wish this I will do as she wishes. My Queen merely has to ask, and I will
support her in anything that doesn't damage my honor. And this childish
debate merely damages my senses, not my honor. And if the next Monarchs
want something else? Well if I all I have to do is spend .34 cents to make
them happy it is well worth it.
Are we not a Monarchy?

As any Free Scholar should be ashamed that another has attacked the Princess
in such a public manner. I thought the Rapier community defended the Queen?
