[MR] Queen's Arms

I personally don't happen to know any former Queen
(except Her Grace Niaobe, for whom I have the UTMOST
respect) who feels ashamed of wearing the arms with or
without the ermine.
I know that I do not know everyone, or their opinions,
but I think that shame is a very harsh word. Some may
wish the joke did not exist, but I have a hard time
thinking anyone went through their reign hanging their
head.
I was honored to have the opportunity to wear the arms
of the Queen of Atlantia.
I think the point that is being missed is that no
matter what jokes may arise, the grace, and presence
of the woman wearing the arms is what counts. It would
not matter if we had a purple teddy bear on the arms.
I would have worn them with pride.
I think, however, that is is important that the
populace feel like their Queen is being respected, I
understand that. But that starts with how we treat our
Queen, not what she is wearing or what banner hangs
above her head.
I know that this debate will continue and not everyone
will agree. Thats okay! I can understand to some
extent both sides. And I think the heated level of
this conversation proves just how much Atlantia loves
her Queen.
Feeling the love and respect of your populace is the
greatest gift a Queen can receive. So, before you
madly type on your key board, think about how your
Queen and your Princess and future Queens would feel
about the words you are putting down.
Bottom line is, our Queen is not what she wears, but
who she is.
