votes are for democracies.  the polling that was sent out is an attempt to
encourage your counsel.  adding a sheet of paper to it going into detail why
you feel a certain way is the most effective thing you can do.  we would
love to hear from everyone regarding this issue.

Friends and neighbors,

There have been several creative suggestions made so far.  That is what I
would expect from such a creative group of people, all of whom want what is
best for queen and kingdom.  Personally, I lean toward removing the
offending shell altogether.

However, the poll that we have been asked to answer is a yes or no
proposition: "spots" or "no spots."  "None of the above" is not an option.
Or is it?  Will our votes be counted if we write in "none of the above?"
