[MR] 16th c christening gown?

Greetings, all...
Over the weekend I was reading through a book called
"The public and private worlds of Eliz I" (or
something like that) and was startled to see a photo
of a white embroidered silk baby's gown with a
separate lace collar. The book claims the item was
"authenticated" in the 19th C as being a 16th C piece,
and that it "might be" the gown worn by baby Elizabeth
at her christening in 1536. I've never come across
mention of this item before. It's at Sudeley Castle
and was purchased by Emma Dent in the last century.
Anyone have other information on this item???
