Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaughhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

This is mind-boggling!

I feel like I'm shouting down a well, but when did it become all about
awards?  Why does there need to be a logical, parallel, lockstep, staircase
structure?  Is such a thing period?  Can someone quote me chapter and verse
showing that the pearl, golden dolphin and sea stag were meant to be a
junior laurel, pelican and chivalry?  How about the sprout, the chick and
the aggressive baby for the new orders?  Or maybe we can add the iritating
grain of sand, the silver fetal cetacean and the sea fawn?  Yes, my tongue's
imbedded in my cheek, but isn't this the level of anal inanity that we're
coming to?  Are we becoming the oddly named (and dressed) cub scouts?

I hereby repent of my role in helping to create Black Diamond's baronial
awards; may the powers seeking to eliminate excessive taxonomy spare me!
