Greetings to all,
I have received several messages inquiring about Crown Tournament.  Info 
will be listed in the October issue of The Acorn.  For those who wish to 
get a jump on your reservations, I have enclosed the flyer below. Please 
contact me or the autocrat privately if you have further questions.  Please 
forward to other lists as needed.

Crown Tournament, November 2 - 4, Shire of Seareach

The Shire of Seareach is delighted to host the Crown Tournament of Their 
Majesties Gàlmr Ingolfsson & Aryanna Hawkyns.  We invite one and all to 
travel to the glorious coast of Atlantia to witness the spectacle of Crown 
Tournament.  Come and see the fiercest warriors of our lands vie for the 
greatest prize, The Throne of Atlantia.

Site:  The site is Camp Pretty Pond, located in Boiling Springs Lakes, NC 
near Southport, NC.  The site boasts cabins with cots, platform tents, and 
primitive tent camping as well.  Bathhouses with hot showers and facilities 
are available at the cabins and platform tents. Please be aware no open 
flame heaters or candles allowed in cabins or platform tents. Ceramic 
heaters are welcome in the cabins.  Site opens at 5:00 PM, Friday, Nov. 2 
and closes at Noon, Sunday, Nov 4.  Site is DRY, no pets allowed.

Limited field pavilion space available. Anyone wishing to reserve space 
please contact the autocrat.  Combatants and Baronial spaces given priority.

Site fees:  On site - Adults: Cabin $12.00, Platform Tents $10.00, Tent or 
Pavilion Camping $8.00, Children 6 and under guests of the Shire.  Daytrip 
- $5.00, Children 6 and under are guests of the Shire.

Feast:  An incredibly scrumptious and lavish Royal feast will be prepared 
by The Fearsome Foursome, Lord Robear DeBardof, Lady Crissara Faircloth, 
Lord Hrothgar Thorgrimmson, and Lady Alesia Gillefalyn.  These culinary 
geniuses will put before you a treat for the palate.  Due to limited space 
in the dining hall, Lord Egil will prepare a Tavern Feast, a hearty peasant 
feast prepared by Seareach's own professional chef.
On board rate - Royal Feast - $8.00, Tavern Feast - $3.00.  Royal feast is 
limited to 80, so reserve early!  Children 6 and under who do not take a 
seat at Royal Feast are guests of the Shire.  There is no discount for 
children eating Tavern Feast.  Dietary concerns:  Please contact Lady

Reservations:  Please make your check payable to Shire of Seareach/SCA, 
Inc.  Please list mundane names for whom you are reserving space, and 
indicate accommodation and feast choice for each.  Please include your 
electronic address to receive confirmation of receipt.  Send to: Lady

Directions:  From all directions - Take your best route to NC Hwy. 87 
South/US Hwy. 17 South intersection.  From where NC 87 crosses US Hwy. 17 
near Bolivia, the town of Boiling Springs Lakes is approximately 10 
miles.  Just as you enter Boiling Springs Lakes on NC 87 South, turn left 
at City Hall/Fire Station onto East Boiling Springs Road.  Travel 
approximately 4 miles.  Entrance to campground will be on your right.

Please note:  The camp ground is fairly remote, with the closest grocery 
stores, restaurants, or gas stations being 8 to 10 miles away.  Please plan 
accordingly.
