(TNT 13c)
Oct 26th - 28th 2001 - Treachery and True Love
Barony of Bright Hills, Street, MD

As you wish...
The quest continues at Rocks 4H camp. Giants, sword masters and Sicilians are infesting the Bright Hills. It would take a miracle to insure that true love will triumph over treachery. In a quest for all ages, teams will battle Inigo, Fesszig, Vizini, and the three hazards of the fire swamp to help Wesley and Buttercup find true love in the face of treachery.

Activities: In addition to the Quest, there will be tournaments to determine the Baronial Heavy Fighting, Fencing and Archery Champions. An Arts and Sciences competition will be held where projects on the theme of Treachery and True Love will be judged. During feast, a bardic rhyming competition will take place. While the grownups feast a Halloween party will be held for onboard children under 12 (so bring plenty of goodies to hand out to Trick or Treaters).

Site: The site is Rocks 4H camp at 8 Cherry Hill Road, Street, MD 21154. There is space for tent camping as well as two large barracks style dorms for those who do not wish to tent camp. Dorm space is "First come, first served" in your choice of the party dorm or the family dorm. You will need to supply your own linen. The site is wet, no original containers please. It opens at 6:00 pm on Friday, Oct 26th and closes at 12 noon on Sunday Oct 28th. There is no smoking in any of the buildings nor is there any smoking permitted in the central event area as per Atlantian law.

Merchants: Merchants are EXTREMELY welcome in Bright Hills! As we have done in the past, we hope to acquire many of the event prizes from visiting merchants. Please contact the Autocrat in advance if you wish to merchant.

Autocrat: Lady Tanglust wraig Brychan (Linda Bradley), 5400 Montbel Ave., Baltimore, MD 21207, (410) 298-2730 NTL 9PM, email: Tanglust at yahoo.com

Feast: There will be a wonderful feast provided by Lady Catlin McRae (Becky Dobry). Please address all dietary concern to Becky at 410-780-1963, not later than Oct 19th, 2001.

     Directions

Take your best route to I-95 north of Baltimore, MD. Go to Exit #77, MD route 24. Take Route 24 West approximately 12-14 miles - going past Bel Air and Forest Hill. After passing through Forest Hill, the road gets narrow, windy and has no shoulders, just a creek to drive into, DRIVE CAREFULLY. Just past the sign for Rocks State Park you will come around a turn and see Cherry Hill Road. Turn right on Cherry Hill, go over the one-lane bridge and turn left into the camp. Check in at Troll in the dining hall up the hill just past the swimming pool.
