Greetings, all.

THIS INFORMATION INCLUDES MORE DETAILED DIRECTIONS AND OTHER IMPORTANT 
INFORMATION

Master Aldwin Longwalker's memorial service will be held on Monday, 17 
September at Camp Whispering Pines in Umstead Park in Cary, NC at 6:00 PM 
rain or shine.  PLEASE NOTE:  I-40 is in rush hour mode between 3:30 and 7:00 
PM.  Please allow yourself extra time for travel.

Here's how to get to Umstead Park:  
Take your best route to I-40 in Cary, NC. 
Get off at Exit 287 (Harrison Avenue).  
If you are traveling East on I-40, turn Left onto Harrison Avenue.  
If you are traveling West on I-40, turn Right onto Harrison Avenue.
Continue forward - in short order you'll be driving straight into the park.  
Take your first Right.  From that road, take your first Right (a gravel 
road).  
You'll see a sign that says "Camp Whispering Pines."

Baron Allejandro (Rev. William Hamm) will be leading the service.  He asked 
me to let everyone know that there will be about 30 members of Master 
Aldwin's family present, all of whom need to hear words of comfort.  It would 
really help if people can be prepared to speak some words about Aldwin, and 
let his family and friends know what a great person he was, and how happy he 
made us.

The site has a limited number of chairs available.  Most of these will be 
reserved for the family.  We're bringing some benches, but we're not sure how 
many people will be there.  If you can, please bring some chairs.  Please 
know that we want the seats up front to be reserved for Aldwin's family.

The following information was taken from the memorial information (attached 
in full as a Word doc) that was forwarded to me by Aldwin's sister:

"Following the memorial service in the park, please participate in the wake 
at the home of Bob Mankoff as Richard's family and friends gather to share 
stories and celebrate his life.

Bob Mankoff's Residence  ====>  4029 Balsam Drive - (919) 781-5199

Directions from Umstead Park to Mankoff Residence:

Take 40 East and continue on Wade Avenue at the split, and take the Blue 
Ridge Road Exit.
Go left onto Blue Ridge Road, and continue past Art Museum and Rex Hospital.  
As the road splits, continue straight on Duraleigh.
First Traffic light after the split, take right on Edwards Mill Road.
Take first left after shopping center onto Laurel Hills.  
First left off of Laurel Hills on Boxwood, take that to Balsam Drive, and the 
house is at 4029 Balsam Drive, on the left.   
Please park on the right side of the road, trying to avoid the neighbors' 
grass."

Allejandro asked me to mention that his family will have some food and a keg 
at the wake, but since there will probably be a lot of us there, it would be 
helpful if we could bring some beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and 
some food to help them out.

Aldwin's sisters, asked me to mention that some of their family are meeting 
at their apartment tonight.  1221 Westview Lane, Apt # 307, Raleigh, NC.  For 
directions call (919) 383-8339.  They wanted people to know that if you'd 
like to visit, you're welcome, and if you can't make it they understand.
