[MR] Coronation Curia - New Orders?

Unto all those to whom these presents come, greetings!

One of the matters discussed at the first curia of their
majesties Aryanna and Galmr was the possible establishment of
Atlantian orders of high merit (that is, the entrants into
the orders would receive a grant of arms) to reward heavy
fighters and archers, achievement in the arts of peace, like
the Pearl, and dedicated service, like the Golden Dolphin.
Fencers would be inducted into the Order of the White Scarf,
which, as one of the last acts of their majesties Havordh and
Mary Grace, of memory ever glorious, was turned into an order
of high merit.

Possible names were mentioned by Triton:

Nereid, Narwhal, Conch, Opal, Ibis, and Manatee

Hypothetically, the present orders of the Golden Dolphin, Sea
Stag, and Pearl, would remain in place. Another hypothesis,
from the floor, was that the new orders would be orders of
merit, with the entrant receiving an award of arms, and that
the present orders would be promoted to being orders of high
merit. This gained some applause from the floor. Another 
proposal put forth the possibility of making the Kraken and
the Yew Bow into orders of merit.

Others seem to have felt that the current system is working
well, and if it isn't broken, don't fix it.
