I totally agree on the historic preservation front, but do keep in mind that
the Taliban and the people of Afghanistan are not necessarily the same.
There are MANY in that country who hate the Taliban, and many of them are
the women and girls who are oppressed on a daily basis. We should keep this
in mind if it become necessary to strike at the Taliban. We would be doing
the people of Afghanistan a favor that they might thank us for one day.
