[MR] A Call to Storvik and Atlantia!!!

Greetings Storvik and Atlantia,
As most of you have probably heard, the blood donation centers in our area 
are swamped with people wishing to donate blood.  As of 9:00am this morning, 
lines at the Red Cross center near White Flint Mall (11820 Parklawn Drive, 
Rockville, MD 301-468-3021) are 2 1/2-3 hours.  Although our hearts are 
heavy, we have it in our power to help this community.  Can we not bring 
folding chairs for those waiting?  Can we not bring juggling balls, 
musicians and story tellers to entertain?  What about water bearers?   Can 
we not show up in garb to support those in our community by giving of 
ourselves in the ways we can?   If you intend to give blood yourself, why 
not do so in true Scadian style?  This is my challenge for you.

Earlier this morning I spoke with a woman at the Rockville center and she 
was absolutely **Thrilled** by this idea.  Their hours today are 8:00am to 
8:00pm.  Please give of yourselves as you are able.  Even a little bit can 
make a difference, this is something you CAN do, among all the horrible 
things we are powerless over.  I will be at the Rockville location myself 
this afternoon and can be reached on my cell phone at 301-614-8976.
