Fw: [MR] bunch of wackos

 Good gentles,

Dagorhir is still alive and well in Maryland, thought it is not the only
Boffer group out here. I play in a group called Darkon, which relies more
on fantasy than history, but allows for a lot of leeway for a character to
grow and advance. We have fought a time or two against Dagorhir, using
their rules (makes an archer real happy, when arrows pierce ALL armor!),
and
it was real cool, though I bit one-sided (we kicked their butts most of the
 day!).
But it is fun to bash on people with foam weapons. You can have all sorts
of battles his way. Melee's and meat grinders, country battles 2-teams,
and
caravan battles, plus weekend campouts where we actually do a great deal of
 role-playing.
Heavy, SCA armor is legal in Darkon, too, though no one is required to wear
it to fight., It all depends on the character class you chose to play.

Anyway, it's a lot of fun, and happens every other weekend, so there's
 plenty of fighting going on!
