A few months ago I came to you with a sorry tale of a baroness and her
shoe-box sized pavilion, far too small to host the growing numbers of her
baronial members. Due to confusion about a possible up-coming change in
policy, our fund-raiser was siderailed, and our book, that marvellous,
precious old book, has languished in our coffers, waiting for a new home.
The selection of the winning ticket is scheduled for September 29th, so
now that Pennsic is past, the kids are dressed and outfitted with school
supplies, it's time for you to relax by taking a little chance in life and
splurging on yourself. Since I know that everything is more expensive these
days, the splurge is aimed to be a small bit of pleasure, costing only a US
dollar per ticket... but think of what you may win - a book written in the
9th century, printed in the 16th century, and loved and held by someone who
may well have been your great-great ancestor...

Remember that this book is a true historical artefact and has value as
such. If you are concerned about having ownership but would like to just
feel it, read it, and then pass it on - consider what a lovely donation it
would make to your favourite University or Church.
I believe that THL Felicia will be bringing a roll of raffle tickets with
her to Coronation on Saturday.
In service to a grand barony and a (please! I've gained weight!) larger
pavilion,
Rosine
Baroness of Marinus
