Browsers are not e-mail readers. I use an HTML-enabled e-mail reader, but
throttle it to send plain text for many reasons - HTML is a vector of
propogation of virii, and it allows hidden activations that do things I don't
expect. As well, on any list that allows digests, HTML e-mail comes out looking
like gibberish (my apologies to any gibbers for any inadvertent racial slur) to
anyone in digest mode.
Out of courtesy to others, we should adhere to the rules of the list, as it
would be discourteous to both those others on the list and the expressed wishes
of the list owner, who volunteers their time and energy to make this place
available to us
