Hello fellow teenager. I'm Vladimir Misha Ilich Grigorov but people call me 
Misha. I'm in the Caer Mear area (Richmond, Va) and just want to say hi! 
Well, teens are limited to certain things in the SCA. We can train to fight, 
but we can't fight on the tourney field until we're 18. Some people are 
really open to teenagers in the SCA like my SCA mother Lady Katerina von 
Wolfenburg who started my group at my high school and now has grown all over 
the county and the group is only 1 year old. But others it seems that they 
look down on teenagers and think they are incapable of somethings. I'm a risk 
taker and I constantly prove them wrong. But what you can do for now is to 
help people in whatever, you could waterbear outside of the tourney field, 
and be a nice and generous person. But things you need to know is that you 
CANNOT go out on the tourney field until you are 18 (either fighting or 
waterbearing), you have to bow to the crowns and any upper authority (a 
given), and you have to sign a minor waiver if you do not belong to the SCA 
and you're going on a SCA trip. Nice to have you!
