         Fear is the fuel on which these bastards feed. One of those 
sources, as has been mentioned on here before, is the fear of the other -- 
xenophobia. I'm hoping that we can reach out and help stop, or at least 
reduce, these issues.
         I'm starting a new, hopefully short-term, e-mail list, 
no_hate at yahoogroups.com for coming up with resources to help fight these 
issues during these dark times. I'm broadcasting this to the SCA (esp. my 
fellow Scadians of the Middle Eastern persona) and to Middle Eastern dance 
groups, for what I hope are obvious reasons.
         There are Scadians I know who are already looking out for local 
mosques and the like, and who are looking for ways to help the local 
Arab-American community. Incidents have already occurred, and likely to get 
worse, not better -- see http://www.hatewatch.org
for some ugly examples.
