I agree with Achbar.

Though I had no plans to go to an event this weekend (I am going to see my
parents), I would hate to think that the terrorists stopped us from sharing
each others' company in the unique fellowship that is the SCA.

I live in DC.  I went to work today, though I didn't want to.  People I know
have died.  But I knew that if I didn't go, the people who hoped to make US
citiizens cower in fear would have achieved their objective.  It is a small
act of courage, to be sure.  But small acts of courage are as much a part of
what makes this nation great as the big deeds. (Like storming the beaches of
Normandy, or being the first human being to walk on the moon.)

Please don't cancel anything.
