Ann, Thanks for the post, it gives us something we can do. And to the
others I am glad so many or our brothers and sisters have been found to be
safe.
I lost some friends who worked for Morgan Stanley today, (at least no one
has been able to find them, but we still hope for a miracle) and at least
200 brother firefighters, some of which I went to Fire School at FEMA with
some years ago, some of them guys who responded to the WTC a few years ago
on another terrorist act. Another friend was saved by the traffic jams as
people slowed or stopped on the bridge after the first plane hit the WTC.
I am really mad. But until I know who to direct my anger at I am as
frustrated as many of you. Like some others who have posted, I hope that
anger will not be directed indiscriminately at those who may eventually be
identified as of the same race or religion as the cowards who performed
these acts.
Pray for the families of those lost, and for the recovery of those injured,
and give thanks for those saved, and give blood.
And maybe as you sit still for those few minutes while you are giving that
blood, think of how much has been shed over the years to keep us relatively
safe on our own soil, both both the military and those who rush into harms
way to help others. They deserve at least that.
I almost wish we could revert to the Middle Ages for a few days...I have a
few ideas about interrogation and proper punishment of those found
responsible that the Hague might frown upon.
Rupert
