Security around the public water storage areas has been increased, nationwide. The waters and reseviors that we do pull our water supply from are being tested in case of contamination. 

Buying a boatload of bottled water wouldn't be a bad personal precuation for the next few says. Personally, I tend to keep a two day supply of water in my vehicle and several in my home in case of emergency.
