There is an obscure option on the Acrobat Print dialog that says "Fit to
page."  When it is selected, Acrobat will shrink the entire page image,
margins and all, into additional margins.  This is extremely annoying, and
often is the cause of the problem you describe.  Before resorting to
photo-enlargement, folks might want to try un-checking this option.
