Let the events go on.  Dedicate your combat not to your lady or lord,
but the victims.  Collect money donations, raffle off something on
behalf of the Red Cross -- heck, call the Red Cross and tell them
that you will have X many people at your event and can they send a
Bloodmobile?  (Kingdom Crusades, maybe!)
