No, but I would think gold and oil futures would be a reasonable purchase.
And a short position on the DJIA, if you can get it.
The attacks today seemed to me to be very media savvy, literally produced
for the cameras. I wouldn't be surprised if there were another shoe waiting
to drop, just as we catch our collective breaths. But, I doubt it would be
water. The "nation's water supply" is way too big, too diffuse, and not
telegenic enough.
Everybody should have disaster supplies on hand at all times. A "bug-out
bag" with 72 hours of water and iron rations is a bare minimum. Here in the
hurricane belt, aid agencies suggest one to two weeks of food and water.
Even a Geiger counter and some iodine tablets don't take up much room in the
closet. <g> But bottled water? Sounds like somebody is trying to start a
run on the stores just as a gag.
