Having lived in the fair Crescent City (that's native for New Orleans) for
several years, and having made my fair share of beignets, and knowing
exactly how "fun" they are to create,  if one good gentle should have the
courage to bring them to the Holiday Faire,... By all means, EVERYONE
purchase some from her!  Who cares if they're truly a period food?!?
