While I am a *big* fan of hot chocolate and coffee, and my wife,
who's been to NO, loves the coffee and the beignets, I have to
say that I don't think it's really a good idea.

I'm in favor of period hot drinks and pastries. Hot chocolate, as
we know it, is not from our period, though, by the late 1500's,
Europeans were sampling and enjoying a form of liquid bitter
chocolate. Coffee, alas, doesn't reach Europe from Turkey until
several decades after that.

Our goal at an event is to recreate the atmosphere of our time
period. Cocoa and coffee and beignets areyummy, but, alas, are
modern.
