(please note that the Youth Judging Form will not be
ready for another few weeks, but will be sent to local
MoAS as soon as it is done.)

THE TRIATHLON IN PERSONA (YOUTH COMPETITION)

THE BASICS: Restricted to artisans age 17 and younger.
Entrants must enter three (3) items (no more, no less)
from at least two (2) of the competition categories.
Each of the three entries must be directly connected
to the persona of the entrant's choice--for
example, could the entries have been owned, made, or
consumed by that persona? The three items will be
displayed together, and the entrant must include a
brief description of their persona. There should be
some documentation for each item.

THE AWARDS: 1. YOUTH TRIATHLON CHAMPION, based on
total score (all three entries, added). In case of a
tie, the winner will be decided by a committee
consisting of at least one judge, the KMoAS, and TRM.
2. YOUNG ARTISTS' CHAMPION, based on the vote of the
entrants. Each entrant will be given one (1) token to
leave at their favorite display. Tokens will be
counted by judging deputy(ies) no sooner than one half
hour before entrants are to retrieve their work. In
case of a tie, multiple Artists' Champions will be
recognized. 3. HONORABLE MENTIONS (awarded at
discretion of KMoAS in consultation with the judges):
for documentation, creativity and individual works of
beauty. Other awards as may be desired by TRM.

MORE FINE PRINT: 1. Entrants will fill out a single
registration form listing all their entries. Forms
will be available on line and from your local MoAS.
Entrants are strongly encouraged to arrive at the
Festival with their forms already filled out. 2.
Judging will be done using the new Festival Youth
Competition Judging Forms, also available on line and
via local MoAS officers. Entrants are strongly
encouraged to familiarize themselves with these forms
so they understand the criteria the judges will be
applying to the entries. 3. A more complete listing of
subcategories is available on the Entrant's
Registration Form. Unlisted items will be assigned a
category at the discretion of the KMoAS. 3. Research
papers may be from 2-6 pages in length. Typewritten
preferred; if handwritten please make sure it is
legible! Must include a bibliography. The age and
educational level of the author will be taken into
account by the judges when evaluating the papers.
