Thank you!  I really enjoyed that.  Is this a daily feature to which one can
subscribe?

Not only is it spiritually uplifting, it gives a picture of medieval and
late classical life, and introduces a lot of genuine medieval names. 

A quick search of the O&A shows not a single Gummar, Theofred, Agilbert,
Columcille, Quirinus, or Nicasius.  There is only one Pepin.
