Getting back to the original question, I don't think we have any
experimental data.  How would we go about measuring such a thing as brain
acceleration?

I have heard that the U.S. Army uses a #10 can of Del Monte spinach as its
standard analogue of a human head for testing munitions.  But, we are more
interested in keeping the spinach from getting scrambled than in finding new
ways to crush or puncture the can.  So, I don't think that would be a good
test for this question.
