[MR] SCA Special License Plates -- any interest?

Greetings,

Back in September I made an inquiry to the Virginia
DMV regarding the possibility of the State issuing
special licence plates for the SCA, in the same
fashion that many other groups have theirs. Such as
Harley-Davidson Owners, Animal Lovers, several
Universities, NRA, National Air and Space Museum, etc.

I received a reply where they told me that there were
two basic steps to doing this. I am forwarding that
reply at the end of this message.

First, State legislation needs to be passed
authorizing the issuing of these license plates. For
that we would need to contact State Representatives
proposing that such legislation is considered.

Then, we would need 350 pre-paid applications. And
one individual or group of people to sponsor the
project, basically to coordinate the design etc.

Is there any interest out there to do this?

See the message below for more information.

Cheers, Belphoebe
