[MR] Batik/Ikat

HI,
I brought up Ikat as an example that if it had made it's way to Europe, there is a possibility that Batik may have also. Both are from the same Indo- Asian area and are dying techniques that could have been imported. No, at this point there is no documentation we know of for Batik in Europe, but one of our up and coming researchers may yet discover a reference to it's importation...
