Unto the good people of Atlantia does Lord Robert of Canterbury, autocrat of Stierbach's Holiday Faire and Investiture send greetings.
I am happy to report that we will be investing our third baron and baroness, Earl Mika Longbow and Mistress Ursula D'Arcy at our event. We invite you all to come and celebrate with us!
A few points of interest:
Merchants: We have had an outstanding amount of interest this year in merchanting at the faire. As a result, we cannot accept any more merchants at this time. For your shopping pleasure, there will be 34 merchants at the Faire, including:
Bee Folks
Flying Carpet Enterprises
Designs by Daria
White Wolf & Phoenix
Pillaged Village
A Taste of Creole
Father Dunn's Jewelry
For a complete list of merchants, please check out our website at www.stierbach.org.
Feast: As of this moment, feast is sold out. However, those of you who have sent in reservations that I have not received as of yet will be placed on the waiting list. That way, if there are any cancellations, you'll be the first to claim a spot. If we are unable to get you on the feast list, you will be mailed a refund for your feast fee.
Also, please remember that we will be dancing after the feast, so you might want to stay for that.
Tourneys: Our marshalls have come up with some very exciting ideas for tournaments this year. If you want some more information, please e-mail me privately.
I have attached our event flyer below for your convenience. See you at the Faire!

Holiday Faire and Investiture
Barony of Stierbach
November 17th, 2001
As the days grow shorter and the nights grow colder, we are reminded that Winter has come for another year. But snow and ice are not the only things we have to look forward to, for Winter also brings the holiday season, which means good cheer, good fellowship and, of course, presents! So join us as Their Majesties present the Barony of Stierbach with the gift of a new baron and baroness at our traditional Holiday Faire!
Merchants: You cant have a shopping event without merchants, so merchants pay no site fee for an 8x8 space. All we ask is that you donate some canned or dry goods to our annual food drive. We do have limited space, so please sign up early. Contact the autocrat for more details or if you need to make arrangements for additional space.
Martial Activities: Come and compete for the honor of being named Constable of the Faire. We will be holding tourneys for heavy weapons, rapier, archery and thrown weapons.
Gaming Tourney: For those who prefer to compete on a game board rather than on the field, Lady Rowen ferch Rhys (Amy Smythe-Wilson) will be running a gaming tourney. E-mail her at RowenRhys at starpower.net for details
A & S Competition: All Scribes and Illuminators are invited to submit their work to a special A&S competition. Prizes will be given for best scribe, best illuminator, and best work in progress. Also, all artisans are invited to display any of their work intended as gifts to celebrate the Holiday season. Please email Lady Isabelle Marie de Fontevrault for further information at isabellemarie at visto.com.
Food: Lady Jenet Fairhaugh will be preparing a sumptuous feast this year to celebrate the faire. Also, Mistress Ursula dArcy will be serving a marvelous lunch to raise funds for our Barony. The Fairgrounds are also ten minutes from downtown Manassas, which has plenty of restaurants and supermarkets.
Silent Auction: Help support the Barony of Stierbachs Silent Auction!!! This fundraiser is to benefit the general fund. All are asked to participate. Donations are welcome. Shopping strongly encouraged. We usually have some amazing bargains and fabulous items for auction. For more information on donating please email Lady Isabelle Marie de Fontevrault at isabellemarie at visto.com.
The Site: This years Faire will be held at the Prince William Fairgrounds in Manassas, VA. The site is absolutely DRY. We will open at 10 am and close at 10 pm. If you need to know about local hotels or crash space, please feel free to contact the autocrat.
Fees: Site fees: In advance, $6 off-board, $14 on-board. At the door, $7 off-board, $15 on-board. For children ages 6-12, half-price. Children 5 and under are guests of the Barony. To register early, please contact the autocrat.
