1. We have been asked to identify ourselves as SCAdians while in town. (as
if the garb weren't enough) Please do so if you patronize any of the local
establishments.

2. Important: there will be mundanes basically all over the place (we hope).
Plan your security accordingly.

3. FIGHTING Notice: Due to safety reasons it has been decided that the
combat archers will be set up in groups per scenario rather than assigned to
teams. Our apologies, but with the likelihood of numerous mundanes in the
area, the CA Marshal would rather have arrows going in one direction than
two. This does not mean that once you are assigned to a particular
scenario, you're stuck with that scenario; the archers will be divided
equally between all three main scenarios and then they may rotate amongst
themselves as long as the numbers stay the same.

FIGHTING Notice 2: The rules for the day's scenarios are done. Any
requests can be directed to blackbow at carolina.rr.com.

4. WATERBEARERS' Guild: We have heard rumor that such exists and would
like to invite any and all waterbearers to this event to bring whatever
equipment they may need. If there's anything that we can get for you ahead
of time, contact Mickulaj (autocrat) at gcheimis at worldnet.att.net .

5. DEMO Battle at 10:30 AM Sat- we have been asked to participate in a
parade to town and back again. Mind you, this is only about three-tenths of
a mile. It is hoped that we will have a flatbed towed by a tractor to ride
on; we have also been asked to have a battle when we arrive. Thus, *please*
be prompt about being ready to go at 10:30 if you're interested in
participating in the demo and battle. Fighters and nonfighters both. It
won't be anything long or dramatic; ten minute battle maximum. The fighting
will commence ASAP afterward.

Notice - if anybody's interested in helping to judge either A&S competition
(best trojan horse, any medium, best bardic recitation with a Greek theme)
and you consider yourself qualified, contact Mickulaj
(gcheimis at worldnet.att.net). There is an ampitheatre that we will probably
use for the bardic recitation competition. Times will be announced on site.

Regards,

Jonathan Blackbow
