[MR] A tribute of words

To all good Gentles, please hear my entreaties.

This last weekend a war was waged with the mighty Hordes of the Mongols, and their allies. The contests were both numerous and hard fought, and the pendulum of decision had swung to and fro. At the end of the day, after all the struggles and deeds of bravery and might, the scale ended up the way it started. In the center.

The Brave and Learned Ashahito demanded tribute. I planned to give him a tribute of ashes and the edges of weapons. I planned for a feast of swords. Instead I recieved a portion of the pie of humility, and a newfound respect for those from the East, and their representative in the Sage Ashahito.

Some travelled great lengths to aid causes both noble and monetary. In the conclusion, I believe we were all enrichened with mighty struggle, good companionship, and enlightenment of others.

My thanks to all who labored to make this last weekend happen. Lady Aithene MacDonald, Baron Werhener von Inglestadt, Sir Ramses the Reasonably Good, Lady Susannah Gray, The Yarnvid Corp of Engineers, all the wonderful people who travelled far and worked hard so that we could all partake of thier good graces. Last but not least, Ashahito, who gave us reason to come toegther this last fine weekend. We will consider your words well, and look to the lands about us.

Thank you all for your time.

In Service,

Sir Magnus balli Thorvaldsson
known as Balynar
Baron, Caer Mear
