Greetings to the Patrons of the Merry Rose.

I'd like to apologize for the untimely appearance of my message drafted on
May fourth. The subject matter has been discussed ad nauseum already, and
the late arrival of my dispatch would make it appear that I chose to flog a
deceased equine.

Due to the idiosyncrasies of the messengers I commissioned to carry my
letter, the message was lost for a time, only to be delivered long after the
message was written.

I have used a different messenger to carry this missive in hopes of a prompt
arrival to the tavern, and will work to correct the errant courier to avoid
any future unpleasantries of this nature.
