And was never answered in the subject line I'm reading.
The Merryrose's number came up today. ;)

I'm reading this weeks late, but taking a guess, I'd say
high frequency whining - kinda like a jet exhaust.
Then again some of us have differential hearing.
Sometimes it helps tremendously -
Othertimes I simply can't understand a thing some people say,
regardless of rank or the delete key. Kinda like being in the
back of a crowded hall when Mistress Dervila isn't heralding,
or Master Bryce isn't singing, or Master Callum isn't telling a
story. You know, that kind of thing....when it sounds like the
OTHER people are just mumbling.
Personally, I enjoyed both comics postings.
I spent the last hour reading Eversummereve.
They took Liberty Meadows out of the local paper in Raleigh,
put something much dumber and less artful in it's place,
and I like finding it on line from time to time and catching up.
(Besides Majel Roddenberry stole the Known World bit in an
Andromeda show line last week. So it's not like our culture
isn't transmogrified. In this case it applied to known space,
that beyond some people's own ears.)
Four things greater than all things are:
Women and Horses, Power and War - Kipling
(a favorite quote of mine)
And who doesn't admire shapely drawn women in either case?
Some other women perhaps?
Magnus, OL, GDH, KOIA ;)
