Greetings, Atlantia!
Her Royal Highness, Aryanna Hawkyns, has asked me to coordinate a project
for her. She would love to receive many blue and white (Atlantian colors!)
glass beads before her Coronation.
Because the Coronation will be on a Viking theme, some of these beads will
be used on her Coronation garb. The rest of the beads will be used as thank
you tokens or tokens of encouragement.
If you are interested in making beads for this project, please do so! The
finished beads can be taken to the Royal Encampment at Pennsic, given to Her
Highness at any event she is at, mailed to Her Highness (address in the
Acorn) or mailed or given to me. My address is:
Terry L. Neill
3501 Carroll Avenue
Randallstown, MD 21133-3905
Coronation will be Saturday September 8 at the same site in Southern
Maryland where Her Majesty Mary Grace inspired King Havordth to win Crown
Tourney in November. Beads should be completed before that date.
Please include a note with your beads stating the SCA and modern names of
the person who made them. Any style of bead from pre 1600 is acceptable,
including, of course, Viking style beads. Use your imagination!
Please feel free to forward this to lampworkers all over the kingdom, glass
guilds, newsletters, etc. Students at the Lampworking class at University
this weekend could choose use this as a focus for one or more of their
beads!
Thank you very much.
