Greetings,

Becuase of the incliment weather on Saturday, the
Barony of Caer Mear postponed it's traditional
Gemstone Tourney to Sunday. The weather was glorious,
and the ground was just dry engough for purchase.

All this made for wonderful tourney. 40 combatants
entered the list (I don't know the numbers for the
rapier tourney).

This year's Gemstone tourney, the 2nd Sapphire Joust,
was fought in the traditional style, that being the
winner of the list was awarded the Ruby prize, and the
highest honor of the day, the Sapphire Chivalry Prize,
was awarded to the fighter that best represented
themselves through their courtesy and demeanor on the
field.

The format was a double elim. with the first two
rounds containing challenge-ins.

Results:

Rapier:
Ruby: Ld. Vivian Broussard
Sapphire: (Something...Jack, Richard, Bob,
Frank-Lloyd,...(W)Right

Chivalrous Combat:
Ruby: Sir Keegan Broussard
Sapphire: Duke Michael of Bedford

Sir Keegan and Duke Michael were the finalists as
well, facing each other in a best two of three. His
Grace took the first bout, and Sir Keegan the next
two.
