[MR] Court Business at Gulf Wars X - 13-18 Mar XXXV, 2001

Greetings to one and all from Lady Mordeyrn Tremayne on behalf of Their
Royal Majesties Anton and Emer on this fine sunny day!

During the week of 13-18 March, being the XXXV year of the Society and
the two thousand and first year of our Lord, the event known as Gulf
Wars X was held on the lands of the Kingdom of Meridies. It was a
wonderful event with plenty of fighting, partying, and rain. The first
mass battle was on Thursday, 15 Mar and was a Ravine Battle. Atlantia
did an excellent job of holding what we needed to in aid to our allies
of Trimaris. After the battle, His Royal Majesty Anton did open a court
and award the following accolade:

Friday we had several Field Battles and Atlantia got to face off with
Calontir repeatedly to their demise especially at the hands of our
archers. After the Field battles, a heavy weapons tourney sponsored by
the Ladies of the Rose was held. Sir Duncan MacAdam, Baron of Sacred
Stone and Their Majesties Champion did win this in conjunction with
another knight whose name totally escapes me. By the time the final
round was held, it was dark and the two knights chose to agree they had
both won. Directly after that, Their Royal Majesties did hold court.

On Saturday, there were two Fort Battles that saw a lot of archer
damage. Much fun was had by all. Duke Logan did a wonderful stalling job
and helped to insure that our side (Trimaris this year) was victorious.
After the battles, Their Majesties did open a court and award the
