Greetings unto the good patrons of The Merry Rose from Constance Fairfax on 
this, the ninth day of March, Anno Societatis XXXV, being the feast of St. 
Catherine of Bologna.

Good people:

It appears that the unceasing quest for knowledge made by my kind lord, Alan 
Fairfax, may soon bring us to your fair land.  Although he is yet to decide 
whether we will remain in the Middle Kingdom or not, as the days pass it is 
becoming more and more likely that we will be joining you soon after Pennsic.

I know that we are fortunate in that there are many baronies near the 
University (CTU in northern DC) but because each of us have only seen the 
great pilgrimage sites in childhood, we are unfamiliar with the baronies and 
the lands which they hold.  I hope that perhaps some of you might be able to 
opine on the lands and the baronies.  We are especially interested to know if 
there are any generous landlords with spacious homes within an hour's travel 
of the University.

We would also love to know about any music, costuming (for me), and heraldry 
(for him) guilds or meetings in the area surrounding the City.  We are also 
cheerful volunteers and would love to help with upcoming events or fill open 
offices.

We may be attending the Coronation of your Prince and Princess and would love 
to talk with anyone.  We will also be attending Pennsic and would be happy to 
meet people there.  You can always find us outside of one of our classes. :)
