[MR] Viking Persona?

I don't have a Viking persona, as my name might indicate, but according to my historical knowledge, the Vikings went all over the place. They could be found in Byzantium, the Mediterranean, the British Isles, Greenland, and (according to some rather specious research and artifacts) possibly as far west as modern day Minnesota. This gives you a truly wide range of options for your persona.

As for specifics, I wish I could help you more. But I'm certain that there are many Vikings in the tavern who can help you out further...

Good luck and remember these words of wisdom: "It takes a Viking to raze a village." :)

Pro Deo et Atlantia,
Robert of Canterbury

Subject: [MR] Viking Persona?

Unto the gentles of the Merry Rose does Chantal de Bellevallee send her
greetings =)

I purchased a fox fur hide at Kingdom A&S this past weekend from Master
Waian's stand, and am enthralled with the idea of an earlier period persona
(envisioning a full fur hide cloak here). I was thinking maybe Viking, and
not knowing much about Viking names, decided tentatively to go with Æsa
Rauðrefr Bjornsdòttir (thank the light for Saint Gabriel's!!)

Now I need some help - I need some good ideas on where to start for
developing persona. What to do for garb, what kind of accesories, Viking
habits of all kinds, basically anything anyone would find helpful for a
first time Viking. My current knowledge base on the subject is a big fat
zero =)I'm thinking rough and barbaric though.

As a side note, I've named the fox Bob =)

Many thanks,
Chantal
