An opportunity to serve the Dream in what proposes to be a unique way...

As part of the annual Summer Reading Program, the head of youth services
(me) is planning a outdoor demo that will well match our theme Seekers
and Dreamers.  Fighters (rapier or heavy), A&S, heralds,
marshals, bards--well, basically everyone--are invited.  

When: July 21, 2:00-4:00 PM
Where: Henderson, NC at the Embassy Block (the plan is to meet at the
library on Rose Avenue and then proceed to the Embassy Block).  A nice
outdoor site with plenty of space.
What: Already detailed to some degree.  Fighting, heavy and rapier, A&S
displays, dance if desired, bardic arts, anything else SCA anyone wants to
do that doesn't get us thrown off the site.  : )
Perqs: possibly an early dinner after the event on the library's
tab.  Certainly great SCA publicity, nearby cafes or restaurants for
refreshments not brought by members, and, as always, fun and loyal
"service to the Dream."
Audience: Children ages 3-13, adults (parents, grandparents, library
employees, etc), and passersby of any age and description...
