Unto all who read these tidings of woe, greetings from Mar Yaakov
HaMizrachi.

Although they have not played for many years here, many on this bridge
and elsewhere may yet remember Baron Hossein Ali Qomi and his wife,
Lady Angharad ver Ruwan. mka Greg Rose and J. Terry Nutter.

On Saturday evening, Lady Angharad passed away suddenly and
unexpectedly.  The cause of death was sudden massive heart failure, caused
by an
incipient coronary disease no one had suspected existed.

Lady Angharad desired to have no funeral.  It is my understanding from
Hossein that there will be a memorial service in Tulsa at the Tulsa campus
of
Oklahoma State university, where Angharad taught.  Those interested in

The Most High tells us to all things there is a time and season, yet
to those of us on earth this season seems cut short beyond its proper
measure.  I cannot even begin to tell of the virtues of Lady Angharad,
her work on period cooking (which won scholarly renown outside the SCA
as well as in it), her kindness, knowledge, and a thousand other
things I simply can't bring myself to type right now.
