I've received so many requests for various points of
information about soap I decided to post a basic list
of links.  A lot of these web sites love to tell tales
of the history of soap.  Do NOT use these as any kind
of documentation.  I've been searching for primary
sources of info about this supposed soap factory in
Pomeii and so far no one can point me to any.  I also
have books from the museum in Naples which houses the
artifacts from Pompeii and these books disagree with
these stories.  

I'm working on a soap site for SCA'ers but it's very
much in a fledgling stage and will post its address
when I'm more willing to share it.  Until then here
are some good links for basic how-to's and getting
started in soap.  If you have any other questions
please feel free to write.
