One other thing for when your soaping next time... 

If you don't mind rendering fat for your own tallow,
the best place to find suet or other beef fat is if
you have a nearby butcher.  If you explain to them
what you're doing they'll make a point of saving fat
for you so you can make your own tallow.

I know a lot of soapers got very clean free fat like
this frequently and traded beef fat for a couple of
bars of homemade soap.  

I love it when my male friends and associates get free
homemade soap.  It's always "their wives" that love
the stuff, never them. <G>
