Some folk don't like court or politics and avoid both,
but they REALLY like this one thing in the SCA.  So
they do that one thing.  They play with folks who like
that one thing and they talk about that one thing and
enjoy that one thing.  After awhile they do that one
thing really well.  Pretty soon, if you are interested
in that one thing, other folk will send you their way
and say "That quiet guy... he does this one thing
really well...talk to him".  This one thing could be
fighting or chirugeon activity or, or....viking
stuff.... Then one day they get recognized for doing
that one thing really well and <OOOPS> they ARE the
establishment and they have to go to court and other
folk think they have power.  Go figure.
