Torfin,

First to make your work as easy as possible, I hereby give you or any herald
who wishes to donate his time and service in this fashion to Atlantia
permission to use the templates, format and coding at
http://newmarch.org/armorial They were gifted to me by Giles of Redheugh
from the Kingdom of Calontir which has a similar armory. This should
greatly reduce the time required to get up and running.

I solicit participation through the Meridies College of Heralds, through the
official publication of Meridies "Popular Chivalry" through the kingdom
e-mail list "Tavern Yard" and at events by making a printed version of the
armory available at the Heraldic Consultation Table. In the beginning it
demands at least 4 hours a week or more, after you get caught up on the back
log, it takes only an hour or so a week. It is indeed a very rewarding
venture to see the pride of the Kingdom thus displayed. I keep a folder in
my e-mail with the submission permissions. I also take submissions in
person, via the mail, and from other local group heralds. It can be a team
effort, and I must thank Mistress Bronwen of Sol Haven for her many
contributions to the armorial from her own shire and household.

I have and will volunteer my time to any Kingdom who wishes to run such an
armorial. I may be contacted directly by e-mail or telephone. I believe
there are few things that contribute so much to the SCA as the registration,
display and use of heraldic devices, banners and names. The CoH is filled
with volunteers who give literally hours of their time every week to
promote, assist and encourage the heraldic arts. There are few
opportunities for service that are so rewarding in Society as seeing the
proud new owner of a registered name, device, badge or household name.

In Service,

Ld. Gryffri de Newmarch
