[MR] MORE Anti Penetration Device information

There is finally a one stop place to look for all the APD information that
is available at this time, with links to experimental and approved
designs...

I forward this site as an aid to the Atlantian archers who are trying to
figure this all out by Pennsic

http://users.ev1.net/~theweb/apdintro.htm is the site, just up and up to
date....with what information has been provided.

Again, (before I am emailed to death) personally I oppose the idea and
encourage you all to send your comments to the BOD and to the SEM, but
unless they rethink it after Pennsic, it is a done deal.

The rumor has been circulating that if not enough archers get their arrows
modified, that an extension may be granted, especially for Pennsic.....let
me NAIL that rumor right now, IT IS NOT going to happen that way, if you
don't comply you will not shoot after Aug! And that is the word from on
high, not just my opinion.

I hope to have my design in combat maybe at Troy, but certainly by
Nottinghill Coills War Practice late this month. After that I will sent all
my info to the SAM and SEM for approval of the design

If anyone else gets a chance to build and test them prior to that (as
experimental with the marshals permission) please send me the event, the
scenarios used in, any comments, especially any problems.....

PLEASE NOTE: Do not try to fire arrows until you determine if they were made
for a left handed or right handed bow.... (ie the one you are shooting them
on) The Trimaris method of mounting the shaft inside the tube seems to HELP
with this problem, but to me makes the arrow far less accurate due to the
ridge, and tape hitting the bow shelf. Trying to fire a "right-handed arrow
on a left handed bow, or vice versa is going to really hurt you fingers!

Hope this helps

Rupert the Persistent
