This is from Rainbowmeadow.com but it's a basic
standard that's on several web sites:

Castilian Summer
Grade A or B olive oil works best for this soap. The
calendula petals add beautiful streaks of sunny yellow
throughout the bar.

16 oz olive oil
5 oz distilled water
2 oz sodium hydroxide
.7 oz essential oil
2 heaping tablespoons dried calendula petals

Follow basic soapmaking procedures.

=====================

You can remove the essential oil and the calendula
petals from the recipe and put your own additives in.
You can also switch olive oil for vegetable oil and be
pretty safe with the combinations still. Or you can
do my favorite to cut cots and use half olive oil and
half vegetable oil.

My favorite starting place for recipes is:

http://www.rainbowmeadow.com

But

soapcrafters.com is also a good place to start.
