Well, a relatively well-known example is "Argent, a cross potent within
a bordure gules."  (Of course, it is ambiguous.  The better blazons for
the two valid emblazons of it are "Argent, a cross potent gules within a
bordure gules" and "Argent, a cross plain potent within a bordure
gules".  The trick is that potent can describe either the style of cross
or the tincture of the cross.)
