It would not be much of a contest in Marinus.  There is a St. Marinus, a fact 
of which we were unaware at the time we chose the name, and the heralds were 
a bit concerned over the name having a religious connotation.  Funny about 
that in light of the names of a couple of branches now.  

And the name of St. Marinus, in the Italian form San Marino, is better known 
than we realized.  Many of us (incluiding myself) had heard of the tiny realm 
but didn't make the connecion.
