Greetings Your Grace,
I belive they are posing a problem because with time the coloured ink change, 
for example, something that might have been black may fade to a gray, and a 
red may turn to an orange.  Or at least that's how it was explained to me but 
if I miss understood and someone else has insight on this they will be more 
than happy to help.
